FAS joined Mayor Bruce Harrell, 1350 humans and hundreds of dogs for the annual Furry 5K Fun Run and Walk event held by the Seattle Animal Shelter Foundation to raise funds for the Seattle Animal Shelter.
Walkers and runners enjoyed a beautiful day in Seward Park on the waterfront loop trail. Event highlights included the Mayor counting down the event, a animal costume contest, and awards going to the fastest male, female and non-binary runners. Attendees saw live agility and search and rescue demonstrations and interacted with sponsors and vendors at the finish line pet expo. The Foundation reports the event raised over $100,000 – thank you!!!
